The Athletes of Wine, a Melbourne-based sommelier duo of Matt Broke and Liam O’Brien who work closely in the vineyards alongside the growers have made an exquisite Chardonnay from a small parcel in Romsey, Macedon Ranges. They have produced a drop that fits in with the best of Burgundy. This 2017 vintage fills the palate with oak and balanced acidity coming from the Macedon soil and has hidden superpowers that come from ageing in the bottle.
